KATHMANDU: India’s Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was supposed to arrive in Kathmandu Thursday, did not turn up for some reason and addressed the program he was scheduled to attend here virtually.
One of the influential leaders of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Gadkari was supposed to take part in the inaugural of Yog Guru Ramdev’s two television channels here Friday.
He virtually addressed the inaugural program from his office in New Delhi today. He regretted that he could not come due to some reason, which he did not specify.
Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna arrived in Kathmandu Thursday for the purpose. Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth has started broadcasting Patanjali Nepal TV and Astha Nepal TV from Friday.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, among others, attended the inauguration of the TV today.
