KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted light snowfall in high hilly and mountainous regions and rain in some places of the country today.

The low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea will cause light snowfall in some places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country, according to the Division.

The weather will remain generally cloudy in most parts of the country, triggering cold temperature.

The MFD has asked the public transportation and aviation sectors to apply needed precautions as there could be poor visibility due to fog in most of the parts of the country on Friday.

The Division has also said that the temperature could dip as light rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province.
