NC’s Province Assembly Conventions being held today

Around 9,000 leaders to be elected



KATHMANDU: The Province Assembly Conventions of the Nepali Congress (NC) under the 14th General Convention are beginning today.

As per the revised schedule on October 28, the Province Assembly Conventions are being held today.

Likewise, the Federal Assembly Regional Convention will be held on November 22 and the district convention on November 26.

According to Keshav Rijal, secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Election Committee, the conventions will be held on Friday in all the constituencies except the disputed ones.

“Ward and municipal-level conventions have been held in all the districts. The Election Committee will give additional instructions in the districts where disputes have arisen,” party Spokesperson Biswa Prakash Sharma said.

Similarly, the province convention has been scheduled to be held on December 1 and 2.

The party’s central convention is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from December 10 to 12.

A total of 8,900  leaders will be elected through the Province Assembly Conventions from 330  Province Assembly constituencies.
