NA chopper rescues five persons stuck in Mahakali floods

KATHMANDU: A Nepal Army helicopter rescued five people trapped in the Mahakali River floods in Kanchanpur on Tuesday.

The rescued were tapped in the floods at Khalla Matesi of Bhimdatta Municipality-9 in Kanchanpur since Monday night.

Spokesperson of Kanchanpur District Police Office DSP Siddharaj Neupane said that the NA chopper successfully rescued the persons stuck amidst floods. The rescued have been identified as Dirghamati Khadka, 45, Pushkar Nayak, 35, Shanti Nayak, 32, Ashok Nayak, 9, and Ajay Nayak, 5, of Matesi.
