Govt effortful to implement constitution: PM Deuba



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the government was effortful to implement the constitution to make people realize its aspirations.

In a message on the occasion of the Seventh Constitution Day today, the PM said that all should make the commitment to ensure the country’s prosperity along with the constitution’s successful implementation.

Expressing tribute to all known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their priceless lives for the cause of the country’s progressive changes, the PM has respectfully recalled those persons who got physical, economic and psychological losses for the nation’s transformation.

Likewise, PM Deuba has expressed deep condolences to all sisters and brothers who lost their lives in natural disasters and COVID-19.

In his message, PM Deuba has stated that the promulgation of the new constitution was a great achievement in the long democratic movement of Nepal.

This constitution has internalized the universal notions of democracy and human rights and this has ensured the rights of all, he added.

Likewise, he has reaffirmed his commitment to fully inoculate all Nepali citizens by the end of 2078 BS to safeguard their lives from the COVID-19 pandemic.

PM Deuba has further stated that strengthening the federal democratic republic and protection of the constitution and leading the country on the path to economic development is today’s need.
