Govt decides to appoint Lieutenant General Sharma as CoAS



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to appoint Prabhuram Sharma to the post of Chief of Army Staff (CoAS).

A cabinet meeting held at Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar Thursday recommended Lieutenant General Sharma for the post of CoAS. The President will appoint Sharma as the CoAS following the government decision.

Sharma is currently the Acting CoAS.
