739 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in ICU and 168 in ventilators

KATHMANDU: There are 739 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment in intensive care unit (ICU) and 168 in ventilators throughout the country as of Thursday afternoon.

Nepal recorded a total of 3,075 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Of the confirmed cases, 2,321  were detected through RT-PCR method and 754 from antigen-method.

The Ministry of Health and Population informed that 639 persons in Kathmandu, 101 in Lalitpur, and 127 in Bhaktapur tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 867 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2,126 persons returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 33 people succumbed to COVID-19 related death in the past 24 hours.
