Country in search of new model of socialism: JSP Chair Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Federal Council Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said that the country is moving forward to find a new model of socialism and the same is evident from politician Madhav Kumar Nepal, who left the CPN-UML, registering the CPN-UML Samajbadi.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu Thursday, Bhattarai said, “By revolting within the UML, leader Nepal started a new party called UML Samajbadi. This shows that the country is in search of a new model of socialism. This is the need of the hour.”

He added youths are to be guided in this search and if leaders could do that then Nepal could give the world a new ideology.

“Those of us in our 70s may not be able to do much, but the younger generation is here. If we dare to show them a new path, Nepal can once again give new ideas and knowledge to the world,” Bhattarai said.
