Monsoon to be active for three more days



KATHMANDU: Most of the places across the nation are likely to witness rainfall for three more days due to the influence of monsoon wind, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Meteorologist Prativa Manandhar said the monsoon would still remain active for the next three days as the low-pressure belt lies a little bit south of Nepal and the low-pressure system lies towards the northwest part of the Bay of Bengal.

Manandhar added there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at most of the places of the country for the next three days.

The sky is now generally partly cloudy in the Gandaki Province while other provinces are experiencing partly to generally cloudy.

Similarly, light to moderate rainfall is taking place at some places of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.

The weather will be generally too fully cloudy across the country in the afternoon and light to moderate rainfall has been predicted at most parts of the country.

According to the Department, heavy rainfall along with thunder has been forecast at one or two places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

As per the latest details provided by the Meteorological Forecasting Division, today’s minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley was measured at 21.1 degrees Celsius followed by the maximum temperature of 28.2 degree Celsius.
