BUTWAL: The meeting of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly has been postponed till August 23 after the opposition party CPN-UML obstructed the parliament session.

The next meeting will be convened on August 23 at 1 pm, according to a statement issued by State Assembly Secretary Durlabh Kumar Pun Magar.

UML has been demanding the resignation of two members — Ajay Shahi and Bimala Kumari Khatri Wali against whom the party had earlier taken action.

While Shahi had won the election from Hridayesh Tripathi’s independent faction with Sun election symbol, Wali had won the election from the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party with the Sun election symbol.
