KATHMANDU: The number of weekly flights on Kathmandu-New Delhi route have been increased from two to six, effective from July 24.

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) General Manager Dim Prasad Poudel said NAC flights from Kathmandu to New Delhi would take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from July 24, 2021, and Air India was to schedule flights from the Indian side.

Earlier, passengers complained of high fare and lack of seats on Kathmandu-New Delhi route as only two flights were operating in a week.

Earlier, two weekly flights were operated between Kathmandu and the Indian capital under the air bubble agreement. The number of weekly flights increased after Nepal proposed to increase the flights.
