Nepal urges vaccine-manufacturing nations to supply vaccines



KATHMANDU: The government has urged vaccine-producing countries to provide additional vaccines to Nepal either through grants or purchases.

The cabinet meeting held Monday at Singha Durbar also decided to thank all the countries for providing vaccines and essential health items to Nepal.

According to government Spokesperson and Law Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, the vaccine manufacturers and other friendly countries have been called upon to provide more vaccines through grants or purchases.

The cabinet meeting also declared Sindhupalchowk and Manang districts as disaster-prone areas till mid-October.
