Nepse increases by 13.97 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by 13.97 points on Monday. With today’s increment, the index has reached 2994.58 points.

A total of 37.57 million shares of 219 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 11.81 billion.

The indices of eight groups traded on Monday have increased while the rest have declined.

The business group’s index increased the most by 5.22 percent, followed by the investment group by 1.47 percent, other groups by 0.78 percent, non-life insurance by 0.70 percent, banking subgroup by 0.51 percent, and life insurance by 0.32 percent.

Similarly, the index of finance group declined the most by 1.17 percent, followed by hotels and tourism group by 0.44 percent, development bank group by 0.40 percent, hydropower group by 0.05 percent, and microfinance group by 0.09 percent. A total of 37,571,354 shares of 219 companies were traded 1,07,797 times during the trading period.

Among the companies traded today, NIC Asia Bank has the highest turnover. The share turnover of the company today is Rs. 354.166 million.

Similarly, the share turnover of Nabil Bank is in second place.

Shares worth Rs 331.81 million were traded today. Similarly, shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank worth Rs. 312.92 million have been traded. Similarly, the promoter share of Rastriya Bima Company Limited has been traded at Rs 309.68 million today while the share of Synergy Power Development has been traded at Rs 289.92 million.

Shares of Synergy Power Development increased the most by 10 percent on Monday. The company’s share price rose by Rs 46.80 per share to close at Rs 514 per share.

Similarly, the share price of Bishal Bazaar Company Limited has also risen by 9.20 percent today. Investors in Nepal Investment Debenture 2082 have lost the most by 5.87 percent.
