UML CC meeting seeks 24-hr clarification from UML lawmakers for floor-crossing

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has floated a proposal to seek a 24-hour clarification from the UML lawmakers who voted for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

UML Chair floated this proposal in the Central Committee (CC) meeting held at Tulsi Lal Memorial Foundation in Lalitpur.

Concurring with Oli’s proposal, some of the CC members in the meeting demanded that the action be taken against them today itself.

The meeting is still underway.

As many as 32 UML lawmakers, mostly from Nepal-Khanal faction, had crossed the floor to vote for Prime Minister Deuba during the vote of confidence.
