NC Vice President Nidhi conveys his leadership aspirations to President Deuba

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi has conveyed his aspiration to helm the party to President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Earlier on Saturday, NC President Deuba had invited leaders close to him to discuss about contesting for the leadership position once again in the 14th general convention. Nidhi too was invited.

At the meeting, Nidhi conveyed his NC Presidential aspirations to Deuba, reminding Deuba that he had been developing the idea for long. Nidhi urged Deuba to reconsider his position on contesting the leadership position.

Nidhi told Deuba he would support Deuba to be the Prime Minister and sought Deuba’s support to lead the party.

Deuba, on his part, suggested Nidhi to run for President in the 15th general convention.

The NC is holding its 14th general convention from September 1-4.
