Nepal sees 2,401 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

34 deaths reported across country, Kathmandu sees 337 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,401 new cases of coronavirus while 4,020 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the 2,401 cases confirmed, 1,688 were detected through RT-PCR method and 713 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 34 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 8,675 in the country.

There were 201 new cases in Kathmandu, 92 in Lalitpur and 44 in Bhaktapur, making the total cases in Kathmandu Valley 337.
