KATHMANDU: The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has urged the government to create a conducive environment for foreign nationals visiting Nepal to return home.
Issuing a statement Tuesday, NATTA Acting Chairman Vinay Basnet has demanded the government to facilitate the return journey of the foreign nationals stranded in Nepal.
“The second phase of coronavirus with new variants has disrupted domestic and international flights stranding many foreign nationals on Nepal visit here,” the statement read, “NATTA urges the government to arrange for such tourisms home return.”
NATTA has advised the government to collect the details of such foreign nationals, identify their destination and arrange for two to three flights every week till all stranded visitors are sent home.
NATTA has also requested for permission for regular flights from May 25.
It has asked to ensure that all health protocols are abided by the foreigners and Nepali nationals traveling on regular flights.
