Four killed, 48 injured in Nawalparasi bus accident

KATHMANDU: Four passengers died on the spot when a passenger bus heading to Rukum West from Kathmandu met with an accident at Daunne in West Nawalparasi Wednesday morning.

Dambar Giri, Deputy Inspector at the Traffic Police Office, Bardaghat said that the bus (Na 5 Kha 2713) fell some 200 meters down the road between Daunne Mandir and Dumkibas around 6 am this morning.

As many as 48 passengers were injured in the accident.

The injured passengers were being rescued by a crane, and are being treated at Chisapani Hospital, police said.

The cause of the accident has not been disclosed.
