Govt to provide Rs 1 million for NC leader Joshi’s treatment

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 million for the treatment of Nepali Congress (NC) leader Nabindra Raj Joshi, who is undergoing treatment for a stroke.

A meeting of the cabinet on Thursday decided to provide financial assistance for Joshi’s treatment, according to Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel.

Pokharel, who arrived at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali Friday morning, said the government would assist in Joshi’s treatment.

According to a statement issued by the hospital, Deputy Prime Minister Pokhrel had reached the hospital to inquire about Joshi’s health condition.

NC leader Joshi had suffered from a brain hemorrhage on February 25.
