NC senior leader Poudel terms HoR dissolution “historical blunder”

SUNSARI: Senior leader of Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel has lambasted the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) as a historical mistake made by Prime Minister KP Oli.

He also said that it is a treason against the Nepali people.

Speaking at a function organized by Dharan Sub-Metropolis on the occasion of Democracy Day on Friday, Poudel criticized the ruling Nepal Communist Party for its inefficiency and added that the country had to bear the cost of struggle for power in the ruling party.

He added that the fate of nation, people and the constitution are facing crisis due to treason committed by President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Oli.

He, however, expressed his hope that the Supreme Court would play fair to strengthen democracy and save nation from falling into disarray.

Poudel maintained that PM Oli and President Bhandari have committed a historical crime by throwing off the constitution and shattering the people’s dream of peace, prosperity and political stability in the country and warned that the People would not forgive such political crimes.
