Democracy at stake due to PM Oli, monarchy is a must now: RPP Chair Lohani

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani has accused Prime Minister KP Oli of putting democracy at stake for his personal benefit and has reiterated that monarchy is a must now.

Speaking at a program organized by the Morang chapter of RPP, Chairman Lohani alleged PM Oli and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) that due to their internal conflict they have dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR).

“Although the people had given about two-thirds of the votes to the communist party for a stable government the NCP caused the dissolution of the parliament for their petty interest,” Dr. Lohani told the program.

He reiterated that the decision of the court will be historical and it will play a significant role in ensuring public trust in the judiciary.

Dr. Lohani pointed out that the government has become a failure in both political and diplomatic ways, and it has stained Nepal’s image at the international level.
