Nepal records 189 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 110 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 189 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 158 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 31 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 75 persons in Kathmandu, 26 in Lalitpur, and 9 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 110 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, two people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll in the country 11,572 till date.

Meanwhile, 250 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
