Cold grips Valley as mercury dips to 3.4 degree Celsius

KATHMANDU: The temperature has gone down across the country, of late.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the temperature has decreased partly due to the westerly low-pressure system.

The minimum temperature of the Kathmandu Valley has been recorded at 3.4 degree Celsius this morning. Jumla has recorded minus 5.8 degree Celsius — the lowest temperature of the country.

Similarly, Jiri has recorded temperature at 2.1 degree Celsius. The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country today and generally fair in the rest parts of the country.

Light rain and snowfall are expected in a few places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country today.
