KATHMANDU: The Madhyapur Thimi-based Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital has created five pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) beds.
Madhyapur Thimi mayor and hospital chair Madan Sundar Shrestha said the five-bed dedicated ICU facility for children is now available at the hospital.
It may be noted that the hospital functions under the supervision of the Madhyapur Thimi municipality.
As Shrestha said, the hospital provides services not only to the Madhyapur Thimi folks but for the people from across the country.
According to him, the Hospital is the first hospital after Teku Hospital to provide PCR test facility across the country.
“The establishment of the oxygen plant within the hospital, expansion of ventilator beds, and availability of dialysis facility and the launching of NICU are our latest achievements.”
The 102-bed hospital which also includes 25 HDU beds and 10 ventilator beds for people above 17 is preparing for the operation of a nursing college, it is said.
