Generally, we define teamwork as group work consisting minimum of 4-6 members or more than that, in a group that comes together under one platform and works with a collaborative effort to achieve mutual goals in regard to some specific project or venture.

Teamwork plays an important role in almost every field be it in the corporate sector, sports, education, home affairs, and so on and so forth.

The best part of any teamwork is all the team members teams up to succeed in achieving the mutual goals and to meet the target.

Hence, as quoted “Nothing comes easy” to achieve the mutual goals and to meet the target equal effort from all the teammates, team spirit and co-operative thought is very much necessary which helps in maximizing the rate of getting better results.

We should always be ready to take risks in life and go for the possibilities, either we succeed, or we fail but the best part is we don’t lose anything instead we come up learning many things from it.

The famous philosopher, teacher and royal advisor Chanakya traditionally known as Kautilya or Vishnugupta, also considered as the pioneer of the field of economics and political science in India has also put forward his thought regarding teamwork as “ Let us two build a fort”.

He adds, man is a social animal and one should always move to a compatibility mindset from a competitive mindset to develop the ability to work in a team by helping and inspiring others to work together which is not only important at a workplace but in every facet of life.

Hence, the million-dollar question which arises in regard to teamwork is how can we achieve mutual goals by working together in a team as it’s evident that when there is more than one person in a group the idea do vary, there arises a difference in opinions which becomes a hard task to take everyone hand in hand and work as a team.

Therefore, the following tips can be a handful if we are planning to have proper teamwork:

First, come first being clear with the objective:

Choosing the right teammates

Having an active team leader can create a magic

Discuss the project

Create a friendly bond with your teammates so that working together will become more relaxed and fruitful in achieving mutual goals

Set the target audience

Create a Road map

Listen to the ideas, brainstorm them, value each and every individual’ idea

Divide the works accordingly to your teammate’s interest, expertise, and command in the related area

Be flexible

Have focus

Make a time frame

Allocate budget (as per the project nature, objective, mission, vision, target and goal)

Be clear with what you want to achieve ultimately from that particular project or work.

Be concise and just go for it

Moreover, life is all about partnership and teamwork be it in between your spouse, friends, family, colleagues, or business associates, everywhere teamwork and team spirit are needed. Nothing can be achieved alone in terms of getting full satisfaction and success in life.

Definitely, there is a team behind all the great success and great works who have helped, supported, and guided every one of us in our individual lives. But then at times, we do fail and things don’t go right while working in a team as well.

Having said that what I always believed is success and failure while working alone or in a partnership or in a team is a part of life.

We should always be ready to take risks in life and go for the possibilities, either we succeed, or we fail but the best part is we don’t lose anything instead we come up learning many things from it.

Also, in leadership and management the most important thing to do is “what you do, do all by your heart”. So, strike the right chord and have a wonderful partnership because “coming together is beginning and working together is success” which is the main mantra for great teamwork.
