30 injured, 10 critically in Nuwakot bus accident

TRISULI: At least 30 people were injured in a bus accident today at Manakamana of Kispang rural municipality-5 in Nuwakot district.

Among the injured, the condition of 10 is reported to be critical and they have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment, according to the District Police Office Chief Superintendent of Police, Tul Bahadur Karki. Brake failure is blamed for the accident.

The bus (Ba 4 Kha 5762) was en route to Kathmandu from Bhalche of Kispang-1 when it met with the accident. Some of the passengers were traveling on the roof of the ill-fated bus, it has been said.
