JSP not to take part in Constitution Day programs

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has said it will not mark this year’s Constitution Day programs.

JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav, issuing a statement Saturday, said the constitution contained discriminatory and incomplete provisions and hence the party would not participate in the Constitution Day programs on Sunday.

Yadav also called for protesting against the discriminatory and flawed provisions of the constitution.

He stressed that the constitution had yet to address the national issues raised by Madhesi, marginalized, Dalit, women, Muslim, Tharu, minority communities as well as oppressed castes and communities.
