Japan lifts travel ban on Nepal into its country



KATHMANDU: Japan has lifted a travel ban imposed on Nepal into its country that it had earlier placed in a bid to combat COVID-19.

With the decision to lift the ban, Nepali people having re-entry visas now are allowed to enter Japan.

According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the ban imposed on Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives including Nepal have been lifted.

Nepali nationals who residential visas of Japan cane travel to Japan from September 20.
