Writ against Ghising’s appointment: SC postpones hearing scheduled for Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court did not carry out the hearing on the writ petition filed against Kulman Ghising’s appointment as the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Wednesday.

A single bench of Justice Kumar Regmi was scheduled to hear the writ petition filed by former Managing Director of Nepali Electricity Authority (NEA) Hitendra Dev Shakya.

Shakya had on August 6 filed the writ petition at the Supreme Court (SC) seeking his reinstatement as NEA MD by relieving incumbent MD Ghising.

In the writ petition former MD Shakya stated that he has been removed from the job without any valid reasons.
