850 students in Doti receive self-learning materials



DOTI: As many as 851 students of eight community schools at Purbachauki Rural Municipality-7 in Doti have received stationery materials useful for self-learning activities.

Good Neighbours International Nepal and Community Development Center jointly distributed the stationery items to children pursuing the early childhood development program and grades 5. The materials were provided under the Community Development Project.

The organization’s education development officer Ekraj Badu said at present, schools have remained closed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, they have been deprived of formal physical classes although they have got textbooks. So self-learning materials would be useful for them to continue their learning activities at home, he said.

The distributed stationery items included textbooks, pencils, erasers, color pencils and sharpeners, said ward chair, Prakash Saud.
