Asta Laxmi picked as UML’s PP leader in Bagmati Province



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Asta Laxmi Shakya has been elected the leader of the Parliamentary Party of Bagmati Province.

Shakya has been picked as the PP leader after Chief Minister Dormani Poudel resigned from the PP leader of Bagmati Province.

According to a leader, Shakya has been elected as the leader of the parliamentary party on Wednesday.

This has also paved the way for leader Shakya to become the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province.

Shakya, who is also the UML Vice-Chairperson, was earlier in the disgruntled Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the UML party.
