Leaders of UML’s Madhav faction say party registering process likely to delay

KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the CPN-UML is currently busy preparing for the registration of a new party after President Bidya Devi Bhandari issued an ordinance on party split on Wednesday.

However, the possibility of registering a new party on Wednesday looks slim as leader Rajendra Pandey said preparations are ongoing to register a new party.

Leaders of the faction Pandey and Ram Kumari Jhankri had reached the Election Commission (EC) to finalize the process of registering a new party today.

They, however, returned from the EC without registering the party saying that they still needed some time to finalize the party registration process.
