It’s wrong to bring ordinance bypassing parliament, says NC leader Thapa

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress Central Working Committee (CWC) member Gagan Thapa has said it is wrong to abruptly bring ordinance bypassing the parliament.

Posting a Facebook message, NC youth leader said such kind of practice is always wrong irrespective of the time and the party who brings it.

“To bring ordinances bypassing the parliament is a wrong practice. It was wrong yesterday, is wrong today and will be wrong in the future, too, no matter whoever brings it,” said Thapa.

Thapa further said that those who stood against the ordinance when it was brought by Oli during his stint as the prime minister have no right to support it today.  If they are to support it, they should beg pardon in public today.

Similarly, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli who brought this kind of ordinance during his stint has not right to protest it today, nor the President who endorsed it. If they protest it today, they have to publicly confess that they were wrong in the past.
