256 more Nepalis stranded in Afghanistan register their names

KATHMANDU: The government has informed that Nepali nationals who were rescued to Kuwait from Afghanistan have arrived in Kathmandu via a chartered flight.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 127 Nepali people have arrived in the capital following coordinated efforts with the friendly nations.

A holding center has been set up at Samakhusi in coordination with the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) for those who have been rescued from Afghanistan.

Similarly, 256 Nepali migrant workers have registered their names in the website of the Department of Consular Services by Tuesday evening, according to the Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has asked the Nepali people in Afghanistan to register their names in website of the Department of Consular Services which is equipped with Viber numbers and WhatsApp.

The Viber numbers include 9749326458 (Department of Consular Services), 9749326459 (Foreign Ministry) and 8929601925 (Nepali Embassy in New Delhi).

Nepali people stranded in Afghanistan have been requested to register their names via these Viber numbers.
