“Don’t shed crocodile tears”, Prachanda tells UML

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has warned CPN-UML leaders to refrain from shedding crocodile tears by criticizing other parties.

Participating in the discussion on the no-confidence motion tabled by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in the House of Representatives Sunday, Prachanda said there was no reason for the UML to undergo unnecessary tension since Deuba has become the Prime Minister according to Article 76 (5) of the Constitution.

Prachanda lauded the Supreme Court’s decision for reinstating the Parliament in line with the spirit and letter of the Constitution.

He said that there was no point in shouting that democracy had been violated.

Prachanda also warned not to underestimate the Maoist sacrifices saying, “Do not try to play with fire.”

He also criticized Oli for being arrogant and proud because of which he was compelled to walk out of the government.
