Coronavirus infection reaches all-time high in Banke



NEPALGUNJ: Banke district in western Nepal has reached a high point in coronavirus cases of late.

Recent data has shown that the coronavirus infection in the district, which was a hotspot at the beginning of the second wave, has reached a high point.

In Banke, as many as 10,651 people have been infected since April 20, and the hospitals are fully occupied.

Among them, 7,783 have been recovered from the infection.

A total of 182 people have succumbed to the virus in the district in this period.

As many as 228 infected people are undergoing treatment at the Bheri Hospital in the district and 140 at Nepalgunj Medical College.

Meanwhile, more than a hundred are in institutional isolation.

Dr. Rajan Pandey, Chief Consultant Physician of Bheri Hospital, said that the latest data has shown that the infection has reached the peak of late.
