Compulsory mask campaign launched in western Nepal

DHANGADHI: Nepal Police have launched ‘Compulsory Mask Campaign’ in several towns in western Nepal amid the rise in COVID-19 cases in recent days.

The police have enforced the campaign in districts such as Dang, Banke, Rupandehi, Kailali and Surkhet districts.

Police have been taking action against people, as per the Infectious Disease Act 2020, not wearing masks.

Police have also initiated a door-to-door campaign urging people to wear face masks and ensure precautionary measures against COVID-19.
