Sumina to compete in World Boxing Championship



KATHMANDU: Sumina Khadka has been selected to take part in the Youth World Boxing Championship to be held in Poland.

She was selected for the 60 kg women’s category in the selection match held here today.

Representing the RDS club, Khadka defeated Dechen Sherpa of Boxmandu by 4-1 to be selected to represent Nepal in the world championship.

Earlier, Sushma Tamang of Naxal was selected to compete in the 48 kg category for the same event, according to head boxing coach Prakash Thapamagar.

The world boxing championship is taking place in Poland from coming April 11 to 23.
