KATHMANDU: Chairman of Federal Council of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has remarked that it is high time Nepali Congress led the movement to save the constitution.

Speaking at a program organized by Ganeshman Singh Martyrs and Shanti Smriti Pratisthan, former Prime Minister Bhattarai advised Nepali Congress to overcome the dilemma on whether to join the protest or election campaign and lead the decisive movement against Prime Minister KP Oli’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives(HoR).

“Nepali Congress should not wait for the election to lead the nation as the restoration of the parliament will also pave the way for the NC to lead the government,” Dr. Bhattarai said in the program.

The dissolution of the parliament has serioulsy violated the provisions of the constitution, said Bhattarai and added that the HoR dissolution is an attack on the constitution.

He warned that if the HoR is not restored by the court, various external forces will make Nepal a playground to fulfill their vested interest.

Meanwhile, Former Prime Minister Bhattarai accused Prime Minister KP Oli of taking to neo-fascism and neo-feudalism under the cover of leftist politics.

Stating that PM Oli has threatening all the organs of the state, Bhattarai added that even the court is under people’s vigil as everyone has their eyes set on the court’s decision.
