Nepal records 274 new COVID-19 cases, three deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 161 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 274 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 269 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 5 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 111 persons in Kathmandu, 30 in Lalitpur, and 20 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 161 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, three people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll in the country 11,570 till date.

Meanwhile, 270 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
