PM Deuba and Maoist Chairman Prachanda discuss ending House stalemate

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” have discussed ending the political stalemate in the parliament.

The main opposition CPN-UML has been continuously obstructing the parliament demanding that the lawmakers of the Unified Socialist Party not be allowed to continue in the House.

The government has not been able to introduce various bills due to the obstruction.

Prachanda reached Prime Minister Deuba’s official residence in Baluwatar on Friday morning to discuss the issue as well as to congratulate PM Deuba for being reelected to the post of Nepali Congress President.

According to Baluwatar sources, the two leaders also discussed the current political situation and the future strategy of the ruling alliance.
