Govt shouldn’t remain as mute spectator on SC’s stalemate: NC leader Singh

BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has stated that the government should not remain as a mute spectator on the stalemate of the Supreme ‘Court.

Talking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday morning, former NC General Secretary Singh said that the dispute seen in the Supreme Court should be resolved in accordance with the existing rule even though it is an independent judiciary.

He further said that the judiciary should not be taken as a hostage due to one or two-people’s issues.

On a different note, Singh said that the NC has gradually lost people’s confidence due to the failed leadership of President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Singh further said that he would file his candidacy for the post of president in the upcoming 14th General Convention of the party.
