CJ Rana assigns nine benches amidst sit-in protest

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) on Wednesday continued its sit-in program demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

Meanwhile, CJ Rana has assigned nine benches for Wednesday amidst protests.

Advocates and some Supreme Court justices have been boycotting the benches demanding the resignation of CJ Rana.

Rejecting Rana’s request to find a solution through dialogue and negotiations, the judges and the Nepal Bar have been saying that Rana’s resignation is the only way to solve the stalemate.
