NTC’s income soars following 4G scheme



KATHMANDU: With the implementation of the 4G project, the income of the Nepal Telecom, a state-owned telecommunication service provider in Nepal, has gone up with around 50 percent.

The net profit of the Telecom until mid-October 2020 was Rs 151,7769000 while it increased by 48.90 percent to reach at 2,259,904,000 by mid-October 2021, according to the company.

Managing Director of the Telecom Dilli Ram Adhikari, the Telecom’s economic condition improved following the implementation of the 4G project.

With the 4G project implementation, the use of mobile data, voice packs, SMS services increased significantly after the number of customers increased, Adhikari added.
