Women Int’l T20: Nepal defeats Qatar by 119 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepali Women Cricket Team has defeated Qatar by 119 runs in an international Twenty20 cricket competition on Tuesday for the first time.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal had notched up 146 runs losing four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Nepal’s debutant Indu Barma hit a half-century.

In reply, Qatar was restricted to 11.5 overs for paltry 27 runs.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated Indonesia by 92 runs in 2019.
