Melamchi-Indrawati road obstructed

MELAMCHI: The temporary highway connecting Melamchi to Indrawati has been obstructed due to last night’s heavy rain.

The road was constructed some three months ago by laying a Hume pipe after the concrete bridge was washed away by the floods in July.

Tara Bania, the chairperson of the consumer committee, said that the road was damaged again by last night’s rain.

He said that the road would be repaired and brought into operation as soon as the weather improves.
