Nepal records 3,274 new COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 3,274 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 11,565 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 2,456 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 818 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 27 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,033 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

Out of them, 673 were detected in Kathmandu, 219 in Lalitpur, and 141 in Bhaktapur districts.

Meanwhile, 1,929 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
