Nepal sees 1,875 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 1,875 new cases of coronavirus while 2,164 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the 1,875 cases confirmed, 1,310 were detected through RT-PCR method and 565 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 21 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 9,527 in the country.

Likewise, Kathmandu saw 299 cases of the virus, Lalitpur 77 and Bhaktapur 52 cases, taking the Valley’s tally to 428 in the past 24 hours, as of Saturday afternoon.
