Nepal records 2,607 new COVID-19 cases, 39 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 570 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,607 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,768 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 839 have tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 413 persons in Kathmandu, 121 in Lalitpur, and 36 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 570 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 39 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2,141 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
