Gandaki Chief Minister Nepali taking a vote of confidence Friday



POKHARA: Newly appointed Chief Minister of Gandaki province Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel is scheduled to take a vote of confidence Friday.

According to the government spokesperson Kumar Khadka,  Pokharel, who was appointed chief minister last Saturday, has filed for the discussion on vote of confidence.

With Rastriya Janamorcha lawmaker Krishna Thapa’s dismissal from the post, the province assembly has now 59 members now.

Chief Minister Pokharel needs 30 votes to get a vote of confidence.

There are 15 MPs from the ruling Nepali Congress, 11 from the CPN-Maoist Center, 27 from the CPN-UML, two from the Rastriya Janamorcha, two from the Janata Samajwadi Party and one independent lawmaker Deepak Manange alias Rajeev Gurung.
